Skotlander Cask Rum, 50CL
Skotlander Cask Rum is sweet, dark, and rich with notes of caramel and licorice. Aged in Northern Jutland (Denmark) in small 40-liter sherry casks, the rum develops an exceptionally intense flavor and deep color due to the small barrel size. It is then lightly sweetened with the same molasses used in the distillation process. Distilled in a pot still using South American sugarcane molasses and pure water from a local well in Northern Jutland, the rum undergoes a long fermentation—up to ten times longer than traditional rum—thanks to the cool Danish climate. This extended fermentation process brings out a wide range of complex flavors. Smooth and approachable, this is a rum that appeals to both connoisseurs and newcomers alike.
